1. 1.  2 x Sesotho consecutive interpreters, at Trompsburg on 22 November 2024, from 10:00 to 15:00.
2.  2 x Sign language interpreters, at Trompsburg on 22 November 2024, from 10:00 to 15:00.
3.  2 x Afrikaans consecutive interpreters, at Trompsburg on 22 November 2024, from 10:00 to 15:00.
4.  1 x isiXhosa consecutive interpreter, at Trompsburg on 22 November 2024, from 10:00 to 15:00.

All interpreters must meet the following minimum requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or 3-year National Diploma with a major in the relevant language
• or a National Diploma in Language Practice or a 2-year Diploma in Legal Interpreting or Communication Studies or SATI 
Accreditation.
• 3 years’ relevant experience in interpreting.

Minimum requirements for the South African Sign Language are:

• Sign language interpreting level 3 or level 2 or level 1 Certificate or Certificate of Competence or Liaison Interpreting Certificate and
• 3 years’ relevant experience.

Skills requirements

• Proficiency in English and Sesotho (applicable to Sesotho interpreters) Sign language (applicable to Sign language interpreters) Afrikaans (applicable to Afrikaans interpreters) isiXhosa (applicable to Afrikaans interpreter).
• Sound verbal communication skills.
• Sound interpersonal skills.
• Skills in consecutive interpreting/Sign language interpreting
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in executing the responsibilities of the position.
