The Institute’s financial year is a calendar. Fees for current members fall due from January each year. New members can join at any point in the year and the subscription is adjusted each quarter for new members.
You pay an annual subscription fee for SATI membership. This fee reduces each quarter for new members joining the Institute.
New members also pay a once-off entrance fee and members residing outside South Africa pay an additional fee to cover bank charges.
There is an additional optional charge for inclusion on SATI’s Internet database of language practitioners. This means that in addition to appearing on the Institute’s full database held by the office, your details will also be available to clients who go directly to this website to look for a language practitioner. Not all members need or want this service and so it attracts a separate charge.
Different fees apply to the two classes of corporate membership. Please consult the tables below to ascertain the amount you need to pay for each category of corporate membership and the pro rata amount if you join after the first quarter of the year.
The entrance fee is a once-off fee and the other fees apply to the calendar year.
